José Fermín Fernández

Born in Iznalloz (Granada) in 1995, José Fermín Fernández started self-taught on the guitar within the family. After receiving lessons from master Alberto Fernández, he began working in the main tablaos of Granada. In 2019 he made history by simultaneously winning two of flamenco’s highest awards in the same year: the Bordón Minero at the Festival del Cante de las Minas de La Unión and the First Prize at the Certamen Nacional de Córdoba. He has collaborated with leading figures like Marina Heredia, Antonio Canales, Karime Amaya, and Belén López, standing out for a clean, precise touch and great rhythmic power.
